Description
Affliction (11x14 gesso board, Oct. 2009)
The product of desperation. The night I painted this, I felt very much as if I was being attacked on many fronts, simultaneously. I needed to get some crazy stuff out, and I did.
So I count this one as a personal success, even though I don't like it visually. The colors are garish, and I have no idea what those things flying up out of the ground are supposed to be. But I feel better, now.

I like the colors, I see it as a green ocean and those things flying out there look like some sea creatures that are going to be engulfed by that red threat…but that’s just me….
